Papo Minotaur 38931

The Papo Minotaur 38931 brings a legendary creature into imaginative play. With its familiar bull-headed form, this plastic figure can become the guardian of a maze, a formidable opponent or a surprising ally in a story built around other fantasy figures.

A child can create a maze from books, blocks or play furniture, then decide why the Minotaur is protecting its centre. Perhaps a group of adventurers must find a way through, or perhaps the creature has been misunderstood and needs help. Open-ended play like this encourages children to shape characters, problems and endings for themselves.

Build a legend of your own

The Minotaur also works well as a standalone character for small-world play. It can patrol a castle, hide in a cave or appear in a story that moves between the human world and a world of mythical creatures. The figure gives children a clear starting point without prescribing what happens next.

For adults choosing a first fantasy figure, this is a recognisable character with plenty of storytelling possibilities. It can also join a growing collection of Papo figures, where children can compare different creatures and invent encounters between them. Moving the figure, placing it in a scene and acting out dialogue all bring natural opportunities to practise fine motor control and narrative thinking.
