Schleich Meerkat 14935

The Schleich Meerkat 14935 brings a small, alert desert animal into imaginative play. Set it on watch beside a den, place it among other wildlife figures or create a new animal habitat for a story of exploration and discovery.

Children can use the figure to act out a meerkat keeping lookout while others search for food or shelter. It also works well in quieter play, where a child can observe the animal’s stance, invent its name and decide what happens next. Moving figures between different play scenes supports storytelling and helps children build their own understanding of animal life.

A small figure with plenty of story potential

The meerkat’s recognisable upright pose gives it a clear role in a group of animal figures. It can be the watchful character in a savannah scene, a visitor to a homemade den or part of a growing collection of wildlife. Pairing it with other animals encourages children to compare shapes, habitats and behaviour through play.

For adults choosing a first animal figure or adding to an existing collection, this is a straightforward way to introduce wildlife themes without directing the story. Children can lead the play, practise language as they describe what the meerkat sees and develop fine motor skills as they position it in different scenes.
