Schleich Rabbit Hutch 42728

The Schleich Rabbit Hutch 42728 gives small-world play a home base for caring for rabbits and planning daily farmyard routines. Children can place their rabbit figures in the hutch, create feeding and settling-down scenes, and build stories around looking after animals.

It works especially well alongside Schleich rabbit figures, including the Lop Eared Rabbit and Lionhead Rabbit. A child might decide which rabbit needs attention first, prepare a safe place to rest, or add the hutch to a larger animal collection. These simple story choices encourage imaginative play and help children explore care, responsibility and animal habitats through play.

A home for rabbit stories

The hutch adds a familiar setting to pretend play rather than leaving the rabbits in an open-ended scene. Children can arrange their figures around it and return to the same setting for new adventures. The play can be quiet and nurturing, or become part of a wider farmyard story with other animals and playsets.

As a standalone piece, it gives rabbit enthusiasts a clear focus for collecting. It also offers a useful way to extend an existing Schleich animal world without needing a complicated storyline. Moving figures into position, arranging the play scene and retelling events support imaginative thinking and fine motor control.
