Schleich Wire Haired Dachshund 13972

The Schleich Wire Haired Dachshund 13972 brings a familiar dog breed into small-world play. Children can make this character part of a family scene, an animal collection or an everyday story built around caring for pets.

The Dachshund might be exploring the garden, following a scent, meeting another dog or settling into a pretend home. Children can decide who looks after it, where it goes and what it discovers. These simple choices help turn a single figure into the beginning of a longer story.

A companion for everyday stories

Role play with a dog figure gives children opportunities to explore gentle care and responsibility in an imaginative setting. They can create routines such as going outside, finding a lost toy or welcoming a new animal. Moving the figure between different parts of a play scene also encourages hands-on organisation and fine motor skills.

The Wire Haired Dachshund works well alongside other Schleich animal figures, toy people or household objects. It can join a larger collection or remain the main character in a compact story. Children who enjoy real dogs may also use the figure to talk about different breeds and notice how animals can have different shapes and features.
